Roger, try ice and a table knife. Dry ice is better but regular ice will work. Leave it on the wax so it gets really hard and it will scrape off with a dull knife. You should be able to get the big majority off this way. To finish the job, a little WD-40 sprayed on and then wiped off with a paper towel will do it. Give the WD-40 a day to evaporate, a little soapy (dish washing detergent) water on a sponge followed by a drying with a towel or paper towel will do it.
