In reply to matching existing brick on new home by james bloniak on October 2nd, 2002 08:17 AM [Go to top of thread]

I am currently having a small extension built on my home. The problem that I have, is that the house was built with a thakeham multi red brick which is manufactured by a company called
]I have bought the required brick but it does not match the existing house.
I have had various "reps" to the house who inform me that I have the correct bricks, however the bricks on the existing house have been "over cooked in the kilm" so the colour is very dark ,nearly black in some places"
I have been informed about "tinting" the bricks.Could you advise me how sucessful this method can be,and recommend any agents.Im currently living in Cardiff,South Wales.
