I have a Hampton Bay 54" Ceiling Fan which is remote activated. I has worked for a few months when all of a sudden we started to notice in the middle of dinner or when we were not near the remote the light would suddenly get full bright, and the fan would switch direction which is not good for it. I don't know if we should take it down and return it (under warrenty) or do I just need to change the channels. Could there be another remote object interfering? For fear of ruining the fan we have stopped using it, but does it matter that the fan hangs at least 12 ft high. Again we had not previously had a problem so we would just like to know if it needs to be taken down and replaced or if you can save us the work and we can fix it.
