We purchased this house 16 years ago and had it rented
for 12,we moved into the house last May with the intention
of fixing it up for far feel we have invested too
much to think of selling it. So far we have had new carpeting
in the living dine master bedroom and master bath and small bath
down the hall and into the two spare bedrooms. The kitchen pantry and
laundry (small wakk thru area) and the breakfast area,
all one room, with the kitchen we did with Pergo floor. Looks great.
Now the kitchen and bathroom cabinets are an eyesore!
they stink also. What is the best idea to do with them?
replace them? restore? resurface? We aren't wealthy.
And the master bath has a slab of marble with two sinks
over the two cabinets, they are too low,we would like them
higher. This is a difficult job a heavy job! What suggestions
here? Dave did the small bath room replaced the sink and
the cabinet,we down graded from the marble there. I would
like to keep the marble in the masterbath. There is a lot
of unused space between the cabinets also,in the mbathrm.
Any suggestions will be appreciated,to help us make up
our mind before we begin to do something.
We also were thinking of putting tile on the counter in the
kitchen. What do you think of this and do you think it is
going to hold up if we don't do a lot of sanding?
Thanks a lot for your input.
