I'm doing the same-I bought my house in March and am trying to keep the house
in its "bungalow" nature.

An addition to the house has to be re-built, and I
have been looking at plans. I've actually found a
post-and-beam plan from a company that will probably work.
(It's a little different, but it is in the keeping of the
"back to nature" theme of the bungalows.

I checked out several books (although not on remodeling) from
the university's architecture school library. I've thought
about contacting the school and asking for their advice.

Do you have any information on the magazine "American Bungalow?" I haven't subscribed,
but probably isn't sold in the stores here in Virginia.

Good luck.
