Building a wire fence

In my younger years, I spent most summers on my Grandfather's farm, so I spent a lot of time running fence.
The easiest thing, is to use metal fence posts (you can rent a post driver (just a big pipe to pound the post into the ground)), space an appropriate distance (we used to use 5-paces, or 15-20 feet), and just make sure you've got good anchors at your ends and corners.
If this is all you're trying to do, feel free to ask specifics. If you're building another kind of "wire fence", post those specifics.
