If some of you are like me and had a hard time finding plans to build a rabbit hutch, I have the answer for you! I found a plan to build a compost bin and it works amazingly well for a rabbit hutch. It is exactly what I was looking for! It is divided into three sections (for mom, dad, and babies), it is built to protect against weather, and it is off the ground to protect against predators. Make the bottom out of wire mesh(to allow droppings to fall through), and make the 'doors' into wire cage doors instead of wood planks (to allow easy access into the cage), the top is already an excellent idea (another easy access into the cage). Make sure, if you use pressure treated wood, that it isn't any place the rabitt can get to chew on it. I hope this plan works for you - it is a great home for our rabitts!
