Builder is not being accomodating

at all. I would not like that much of a transition and it would wear so much faster and catch on things an will feel very aqward.

Have you asked the builder if he/she would have this in his/her home? I bet he/she would NOT.

I would be very pushy on this and tell him/her to wait until we think this over and see what he/she thinks. Have you got allot of money in this house. It is a custome or a spec or track home?

With all else, then pay for the added sub flooring in the carpeted areas. but then, where do you stop? Will this go the entire surface of the house? Could be easier to remove the tile in the foyer and lower that sub floor to be even with the carpet area and be done with it.

I cannot believe that they are so hard on you.
