depends on the condition of the brush at the end of the day. if its a gotten a bit natty, paint in the heel, any dried paint, snarled bristles, etc, then you best clean it. if it's in good shape, wrapping it in plastic will save you the time and bother of cleaning it and will hold it just fine overnight with no harm whatsoever to the brush. (this for latex/acrylic. if its oil, clean it)
