john, maybe piers was the wrong word.here's what i have.instead of a solid continous concrete footing and solid block foundation i have concrete pads(dug to undistrubed soil)poured about every 4 feet.cement blocks were set on the pads and the sills set on the blocks.to use real bricks with require digging a trench around the perimeter of the house and pouring a concrete footing.something i had hoped to avoid.my thought was to attach cement board to the existing blocks and apply brick(real brick only 1/2 thick) veneer to the cement board.looks like maybe a bad idea.any thoughts on other materials or ways of closing in a crawl space. thanks
