Breakfast bar

Posted by hearthelion on February 20th, 2003 12:17 PM

I want to build a small breakfast bar (maybe 4 ft tall) to add some extra counterspace to my L-shaped kitchen. Do I need to hire a contractor, or is this something I can do with some time and effort? I don't have much carpentry experience, but I'm good with my hands. I don't want to put a sink or any plumbing in the breakfast bar. I just want to have a solid (not portable) bar area in my kitchen, separating the kitchen from the breakfast room. Thanx.
