Your question is a big one. First off, depending on where you want to put in a laminate floor determines whether or not if it's a good idea. Some products specifically warrant AGAINST installation in rooms like the laundry room or the bathroom. Others provide limited warranties in this area. And yet others say it's OK to install their product in these types of rooms. So, to answer your question, it depends on what you want to know.

If you have specific products you want comment on, post them up and see who responds. In the meantime, you can go to Floor Search, and peruse their 'Laminate Flooring' pages for info. They have info on Mannington, Formica, and ? as for laminate floors. For now, my best to ya and hope this helps.
