YOU HAVE A NITTY PROBLEM.

IT IS NO DOUBT A COPPER PIPE REACTING TO HARD

WATER. THE PROBLEM IS NO ONE I HAVE RUN INTO HAS

A 100 % CURE. SOME PEOPLE SAY ITS IS MADE WORSE

BY PLUMBERS OR ELECTRICIANS USING THE COPPER

PIPING WITH IMPROPER ELECTRIAL GROUNDING. OTHERS

SAY IT IS THE ELECTRICAL POTENTIAL BETWEEN THE

THE HOUSE PLUMBING AND THE MAIN SOURCE. ALSO

SUSPECT IS THE WATER SOURCE. IT DOES SEAM TO

BE MORE FREQUENT WITH NEW HOMES AND COMBINED

WITH A WATER HARDNESS OF 6.5 AND HIGHER.

THE ABOVE INFO IS FROM TOOLING AROUND ON THE

INTERNET. IF I HAD THE PROBLEM I WOULD FIRST

CHECK THE WATER SOURCE HARDNESS. IF THAT IS O.K.

OR IF THERE WAS NO COPPER PIPING IN THE COMMUNITIES

WATER SYSTEM I WOULD CHECK THE ELECTRICAL GROUNDING.

NEXT I WOULD DRINK ONLY BOTTLE WATER SINCE OVER

1.3 PPM OF COPPER FOR DRINKING OR COOKING COULD

POSSIBLY BE UNHEALTHY. NEXT IF YOU HAVE NARROWED

THE PROBLEM TO ONLY YOUR HOME YOU CAN HAVE A

FILTER THAT ADDS POT ASH TO THE WATER.
.
ALSO I UNDERSTAND THE WAY THE WATER IS USED

CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE. IF YOU USED THE WATER

AFTER IT HAS BEEN STAGNANT FOR AWHILE, THAT CAN

AGGRAVATE THE PROBLEM. IN THE CASE OF INTERMITTENT

USE OF THE WATER ID LET THE WATER RUN A FEW MINUTES

BEFORE USING IT. GOOD LUCK

PLEASE LET ME KNOW HOW

YOU MAKE OUT.

REGARDS JIM
