Blown in Cellulose?

Posted by stan10 on December 30th, 2000 07:08 PM

We just bought a house with a cathedral ceiling on the top floor.
The fiberglaSS insulation in between the 2x10 rafters is in poor condition,
due to age, 30 years, and damage from squirrels.

Had to put a strobe light up there to get them to leave.

The house is round (13 sides) so I have no gables.

I want to blow in cellouse but I know that a small air gap should be left between the decking and the insulation.

Will the cellouse settle and give me that gap?
