Blowers: Not that helpful

In reply to Leaf vacuums - I think BigO wants to hear from those using/used them by BobF on October 29th, 2001 07:21 AM [Go to top of thread]

I find that a leaf blower is helpful for cleaning off the deck or a gravel walkway, for instance.

But if you have any substantial amount of leaves, it seems easier just to rake.

I have a lot of really big trees that drop a lot of leaves. I have found the most effective way of removing them is to run them over with a lawn mower and then clean up the mess with a yard sweeper. (Sears sells them - I'm not sure who else.) I think it's a better way to spend your money than a leaf blower.

I use the blower for cleaning off hard to get places - and the suction/mulcher is useful for sucking the leaves out of corners or ground cover... But that's about all I use it for.
