Bleaching Wood

Posted by Ray Petryna on May 8th, 2001 09:05 AM

I have read that the most effective way to bleach wood is to use caustic soda in solution to raise the color, and then 35% Hydrogen Peroxide to bleach.

I can readily obtain both chemicals, can you advise what strength of solution of caustic soda I should use ( weight of crystals to volume of water )?

Many thanks
