Bleach on carpet

Hi, Reggie. Sorry to say, but bleach has permanently changed the color of the fibers and nothing you can bring it back. With a lot of man made fibers, bleach does really weird things to colors. For instance, there are those tan/khaki pants of mine with the "Do Not Bleach" label that are now bright orange.

Your only choices are new carpet or an area rug. Since it is a new house, if you can find out exactly what kind of carpet was installed, you may be able to have that section cut out and a new section of the same carpet installed. This will never be an exact match but should be pretty darned close and a good installer should be able to make the seam invisible.
