Hi, Dan. There is a good selection of plans at I built a bunch of benches from the plans that were in Family Handyman Magazine about a year ago. These have a triangular end view and bolt or screw to wall studs or whatever. They are really handy because there are 2 narrow shelves under the top. The narrow shelves are neat because you can't keep sticking stuff on them so it gets puts to the back and eventually lost to the ages. The benches are also nice because they don't rest on the floor and you can sweep under them easily. The plans are for 4 foot long modules but you can easily shorten one module by a foot. The design makes good use of wood, too. You might not be able to find the same plans but note the design features in choosing your bench.
