I wasn't clear. It is just a personal hang up I have regarding the metal boxes. I just like the idea better. I have grounded the boxes in all retrofits. Anyone doing a replacement should own a voltage tester to figure out A) if the receptacle really is off and B) if the ground is properly done. It's a cheap insurance. I don't take electricity lightly. There are things I won't evern consider doing, and then there are those that are easy if you pay attention to safety and make a plan. I heard a good piece of advice that goes: If you need to ask if you can do it (physically, not legally), then you probably shouldn't be doing it." I think this is true to some degree in pretty much any project. If anybody has concerns about wiring, they will rest easier if a pro does it
