Bathtub stopper wont stay put

Posted by Rob on March 26th, 2003 12:29 PM

The bathtub in our house is about 15 years old. It has a flippable stopper located at the front of the tub between the drain and the faucet. For some reason the stopper keeps dropping and closing the drain, when you lift it up to open the drain it will just fall down again. I took out the whole assemply, got a new one and reinstalled it. Now the new stopper is doing the SAME THING!!

Has anyone ever experienced anything like this and maybe have some advice (short of calling a plumber)?
