Bathroom vanity installation

Posted by Bob A on September 16th, 1997 08:56 AM

I am installing a bathroom vanity and sinktop. The top is a one piece cultured marble top. The vanity doesn'y have any corner blocks to screw up into the top. I eas told to put a bead of silicone caulk on the top of the vanity and lay the top on it . Also I was told to use silicone caulk between the faucet base and the sink top and between the drain flange inside the sink, not plumbers putty. Does anyone know if this is correct and why? Thanks for any help.
