Bathroom advice needed

Posted by A Barragan on August 21st, 2000 08:24 PM

I have just finish the first of three bathrooms. I removed the old tile and fiberglass shower/tub and replaced with new tile through the bathroom and shower tub.

Should I finish the bathroom tile in the shower area by applying a sealer to the tile and grout or just the grout?

I was at my local home improvement store and found two products that might save me money on the remaining two bathrooms.

1) A primer that is applied to the old tile so I may paint the tile to a specific color. If I apply it to the tile can I re-grout the tile to give the appearance of new tile and grout?

2) The other product was a 2 part apoxy that re-finished sinks and fiberglass shower/tub stalls. How durable is the product? How different is this from hiring a contractor that re-finishes sinks and fiberglass shower and tub? My concerns with hiring the contractor is I have two very young children and I understand the contractor sprays the shower and must leave the house for two days
