first, plug a radio into the recepticle and then go to the fuse box and switch off the current to that area. You will know when the radio goes off.

Second, remove the plate and then un-screw the outlet and pull the entire outlet out from the box. it should come out about three inches.

Third, The outlet has a top and bottom or on the back a place for the white wire and a place for the black wire. The directions on the back will show you where each wire goes. Follow that precisely. make sure that you install the two wires in the same area as the old ones were. Its best to screw down the wires on the terminal.

Fourth, place the recepticle back into the box and screw it back down. Install the plate and plug the radio back in.

Fifth, go to the fuse box again and switch on the switch and you should hear the radio going.

if not, you put the wires on backwards.
