There seems to be an array of solutions for water in the basement syndrome. My house is about 30 years old. Previous owners have applied waterproofing to the interior walls, but did not do a very good job of sealing the cracks first. Most of the water seepage is around the floor about 2 ft up. I am wondering if I just accept the situation and install one of the sensor probes and pump the water to an existing drain. It looks impossibly expensive to dry it out any other way. I can do some improvement by changing the topography of the yard, but there isn't much room to play with since the house is about 4 ft below the slope in elevation. I can also improve somewhat the rainwater runoff, again slightly because of the slope toward the house/basement.
Open to suggestions.
