basement french drain

Posted by JAY C. on July 26th, 2000 05:15 PM

I am installing a french drain in my basement.
I have removed aprox 24" of the floor around the edges and dug a trench, added 34 clean, couragated pipe and more stone on top. I've drilled a hole into every cinderblock void at the base of the wall (aprox 1 to 2 inches up from footers). I am ready to repoor the edges of the concreat floor...........BUT what do I put down before pooring to create a space for the water to flow down the wall, over the footer(under new slab)and into the gravel/drain pipe?
Any help at all would be great!
T.I.A :-) JAY
