I was waiting for Steve to say no answers before answering. Too bad I don't have a good answer. I'm not much of a floor paint expert but I've heard good things about epoxy types for garage floors. Not sure of any of the others and which is better or worse. Go to your local paint retailer such as SW and they can tell you. I doubt if walmart sells a paint to put on a possibly wet basement floor. I'd say put in carpet before painting. I walked through a car repair shop the other day with a painted floor which had some water from melted snow from cars and almost fell on my rear twice. It was slicker than ice so take that into consideration. They make stuff for walking on it for OSHA purposes such as mixing in some sand with the paint for a rough texture. We don't want grandma to slip and fall and break her hip on your slick floor.
