Basement floor leaks

Posted by Jeff on December 15th, 2002 06:46 PM

I have a problem with my poured concrete basement floor leaking. But it doesn't seem to be the ususal type of leaking that other people have. I've been reading other posts on the sight and it seems like most people's problem occurs during a big rain storm. But the leaking problem I have starts occuring a day or two after the storm. Also in the winter, it starts a few days after the snow begins melting. The leaks only occur in the floor. Puddles form right in the middle of the floor. I have a sump pump, but that is on the other side of the room (where the puddles don't form). The walls are dry (even where there are cracks).

Any ideas on what is causing this and what to do to fix would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
