BASEMENT BATHROOM

Posted by WILL WILSON on August 24th, 1999 10:21 PM

MY HOUSE WAS BUILT IN THE 40S. I HAVE A DAYLIGHT BASEMENT AND I AM PLANNING TO FINISH HALF INTO A GAME ROOM/WET BAR/TV ROOM. MY MAIN DRAIN TO CITY SEWAGE IS AT THE FIRST FLOOR LEVEL AND I WAS PLANNING ON ADDING A FULL BATHROOM AND SINK FOR THE WET BAR. SOMEONE SUGGESTED A BASEMENT PUMP THAT COULD BE PLACED I A 2-3 FOOT HOLE MADE UNDER THE CONCRETE FLOOR AND THEN WASTEWATER COULD BE PUMPED UP TO THE 1ST FLOOR GRAVITY DRAIN. MY QUESTION TO YOU IS, DO YOU HAVE A BETTER SOLUTION OR SHOULD I JUST RUN UPSTAIRS TO GO TO THE BATHROOM???
