In reply to concrete basement walls by Roberta C on January 7th, 2000 07:34 AM [Go to top of thread]

I started by powerwashing the pld mortor out of the joints and really cleaning it out too. Then using hydropolic cement I filled the big holes (it expands). Then I mortored the whole basement - 32 bags of mortor. At the same time I put in new doublepain basement windows and painetd the whole thing with multiple layers of waterproof paint. When that was done I splashed dots of floor paint on the wall and painted the floor. I had to do lots of landscaping too to get the water away from the outside of the house when it rained - raingutters were a big help - good luck!
PS what does anyone know about epervescence and removal of it? -
