I am replacing the baseboard molding (2 1/4 x 9/16, colonial profile) in my house. The new molding that was delivered is not square from backside to bottom. Is this usual?? It creates a problem with cutting inside and outside corner miters. As it is not square to I cut the miter with reference to the backside or the bottom.?? I've tried both ways and still get gaps in the joints. I have read suggestions to cope the inside corner, however I don't think I have the patience or ability and that does not solve the outside corner problem. I have an 8 1/2 inch electric compound miter saw. ANY SUGGESTIONS????
