I don't have a brand recommendation but if you go to your favorite home cheapo, get the best quality you can afford. Baseboard heaters are handy for those areas that just don't get covered by the central air system (porches, basements, over garages, add ons, backrooms, etc.) and are fairly inexpensive. When used as a heating "supplement", they can be more economical than buying a whole new heating system and ducting just to fix a couple problem areas. Remember that most heating fuels (oil, propane, gas, coal, etc.) are costed starting with their btu content plus transportation and other costs. Unless your electric is hydro powered, it is generated with those fuels also.
