Hi Greg. You might take the cards to an expert and maybe he/she can tell you a way to remove the glue without harming the cards. I'm afraid that anything involving water/steam will harm the cards. Remember the price of them when they were new--free with the gum. The cardboard was pretty cheap and they were not made to last a lifetime. And with card collectors, condition is a major factor in the price. Unless you have some real stars like Mantle and Maris, most of them will probably not be worth restoring.
