Base removal.

There are a couple of things you can do. If its fiberglass, you can simply cut it up using a circular saw (if your replacing it). If its made of stone, you can break it up using a hammer. I have done both. You-re going to have to remove some drywall (greenboard) anyway, because you will need to install the new base over the pipe, unless you cut the trap from down below.
