although there is a definate sterotype that exhists about toxic paints, this is not always necesarily ture. Most paints, unless they have lead additives, are toxic only in their liquid form. Once the paint has dried and the interior of the barn has been given time to dry, the paint in actually not as toxic as mnost people believe. I have use high gloss oil based paints in areas that require quaranteeing-they provide durability to washing while being protective against bio hazards.
