You will have several options these day in fluorescent ballasts. There are the new electronic ballasts that take a new generation of T-8 lamps. The standard lamp is high color and will reproduce color more reolistically.
Note: If you will be switching this fixture on and off several times, opt for a ballast that is instant start (is)rather than rapid start (rs). A rapid start ballast pounds the lamp which shortens its life expectancy. The IS ballast is kinder and gentler on the lamp by warming the filiments first then lighting the lamp. This causes a <1 second delay but your lamp will last longer.
