That's OK, Tim, we all have bad days. Personally, I like working with any kind of wood as long as it's oak. I tried to work with hard maple back before there was carbide and have stayed away from it ever since. Sure does dull high speed tool steel tools.
For goodness sake, don't try to correct John2000 on spelling. He is a Brit and they all throw in "u"s all over the place where they are not needed. And if our posts and the questions, had to pass a spell and grammar check before they got on the board, there would not be much on here.
I'm happy to have someone that knows flooring answering questions, but I know too that if you ask 3 different "experts" the same question that you get 3 different answers on just about anything. When that has happened to me, I usually take the one that makes the most sense to me or take a little bit from every one.
