I also have a yard which floods in the spring or when we experience a lot of rain. here is my problem. My backyard slopes from the very back to about 2-12 feet lower in the center and is the lowest of the yards to which I am joined. In the spring or during heavy rainfall, my yard accumulates the most water. I end up having a pool 3-4 inches deep across my yard. To compound the situation I have 2 large dogs who love to play in the backyard and run thru the water. My question is, would it be adviseable to bring in a load of topsoil and build the yard up to the same level as the adjoining yards and reseed it or is there another solution which you are know of?
