You can't connect multiple wires under a common screw........Requires wire nut/lug

Since the existing wires were short I suggested ONE easy way to attach a single pigtail ground..... starting from the metal box ......using a "greenie" to capture the bundle of grnds you already have and tie them onto the new pigtail.......and on to the outlet........continueing the ground protection.....all safe, neat, code compliant, .........

I used to use a "buchanan" (crush/copper sleeve) for this are they still around?..... the greenie allows the pigtail to run thru the connection instead of having to wrestle (two?) pigs into a wirenut connecting the short existing grounds inside the bottom of the box........Are they still connected when you push them back in the box?........How short is short???

Work safe........doug
