I was one of the Chose Few who spent the 4th of July at Martha's on Park Ave.
The only thing I didn't like about the day's events was she had me trying to install that #$%^@ door on the chicken coop! Because of that, I missed her demostration on the proper way to 'cheese the burgers'.
I want to commend Riley for the pool he put in on the roof. My daughter like it especially so because it doubled as a Koy pond. (Yes, we did bathe her when she got out, silly you!) The view was WONDERFUL! We could see the fireworks from all 5 Boroughs from up there! My wife rubbed elbows with Mrs. V on Marth's Vineyard. (The housmaid's English is improving, if you were wondering ...)
We ate stuffed pigeon along with the usual hot dogs, burgers, and 10' Hero. We drank champagne punch which had those fancy, dancy orange slices floating in it. And when it was all over, Martha handed out complimentary issues of her September magazine. I haven't read the cover but I'm sure it's a good one!
