Attaching wood to cinderblock

Hi Steve
I would use 1X3 or 1X4, laid flat and attached to the cinderblock wall using 1/4" plastic anchors and drywall screws. Make sure to go into the block where the block is solid and don't anchor to the mortar joints. If you put 3 to 4 anchors per 4 running vertical feet, and space the 1 X 16" on center, this should be plenty strong. Then just mount your pegboard on the 1 X.
