I'm planning on pressure washing my roof's 62 year old aspestos shingles and then painting them with dupont Imron paint.(slate grey, the original color of the shingles) This is an epoxy paint which lasts years much longer than regular paint.
this paint can be purchased for 35ish$/gal and can be applied with a paint roller. A respirator with organic vapor cartridge is necessary when applying this paint.
Also I've made special shoes for walking on my shingles..... 4 inch foam glued to plywood which is glued to the sole of my tennis shoe...similar to a snow shoe.
