or are you just replacing your cabinets, floors and counters? are you having the new vent hood/fan, sink, drain, and dispoal, and dishwasher reinstalled in basically the same locations as they are currently situated? If all yes, then it will be simple maybe for you to remove/unhooked all the existing stuff but you need to locate the circuit breakers for all those electrical items (vent fan, dishwaher, disposal, etc.) and turn the circuit breakers off. for the sink and disposal you will need to turn off the water supply valves for all both hot water and cold water supply valves the dishwasher should have its own shutoff valve or maybe it shares one with the kitchen sink faucet. Sometime if the shutoff valves are old, they may not shut off completely or may start leaking from around the valve stem.. If this occurs, you will have to turn off the water main to the whole house and then replace the shutoff valve with a new one. Are you starting to think this is getting too complicated then DO call in a plumber and electrician to come in a disconnect all of this stuff for you safely. then you can start demolishing everything out your self...cabinets ..counters and floors. what type floor do you currently have? Hope this helps shed some light on what is all involved. LJ
