When installed in attic runs, during the summer months the cold water lines contain water heated by attic temperatures to temperatures hotter than the the hot water lines and must be run for a lengthy time to get to a cool water temperature. This is not good for persons on water meters and for areas where water conservation is a must. Also is dangerous to small children who may turn on the cold water line expecting cool water.
