Jim had some good food for thought. You might want to consider it.

But, if you want to paint it, its really very easy. First mask off with Painters tape only and then steel wool the area lightly with vinegar solution. Clean off and dry.

now, green is dark and you will need multiple coats. Get three cans of Appliance Paint per machine. take my advice on this, if you use Appliance Paint, you will get a good job, but cheap paint, no telling. Appliance Paint sells for about $5 a can.

Now, apply the first coat, not to cover the thing, just to get a thin base coat. Let it dry for about 5 to 6 hours. Then apply a heavier coat. important, if you allow the nozzle to get too close to the work, you will get a run and that spells doom. Stay about 8 inches from work.

Stay with this until you get about three coats. then your are set.
