Anybody in Texas can be a "contractor"...

Your statement "Steve happens to be a contractor" doesn't necessarily hols alot of water in Texas. Anybody and I mean anybody in Texas can call themselves a "contractor". There is no licensing requirements in this state. Being a "contractor" and knowing what you are talking about are not necessarily the same thing. I suggest you check out Consumer Report and their latest testing of paints. On interior satin WAL MART beat out Sherwin-Williams. Go figure. BTW, my Dad at one time was a "professional" paint contractor. He used S-W for the main reason many contractors do. You can open an account and charge it.
