Another tip on the glued carpet

We just re-finished 900 sq feet hardwood floors in our house. We removed the carpet and backing, as well as the linoleum in the kitchen and bath. To our dismay, the adhesive in the kitchen did not come off, no matter what we tried. We found a product called JASCO adhesive sealer and remover (about $19/gallon). It did the trick and even removed the finish. This was good because the living room and dining room would not sand. The sander would "clog" up after 4 feet or so. We ended up stripping the LR and DR. It worked well on Oak and Birch. It looks beautiful and we are putting the poly on this week. Hope this will help you!
