There is some aerosol stuff sold at auto parts stores for cleaning the upholstery and carpeting in cars (I can't remember a specific brand name). You spray the aerosol on the spot and that sucker just disappears. I've used it in desperation on textile several itemsvery safely, and it has certainly worked great on the car. It's removed road tar, oil, gum, ink, etc. without a trace. If the previous suggestion does not work (soaking and blotting), you might try getting some of this car upholstery spray stuff. (I would also try it in an inconspicuous spot first.) Best of luck!
