Becky, You indicated you live in Sprinfield (Springfield?) so I assume MO or IL. If so, you have had some relatively warm, moist air the last few days. This warm, moist air flowing in your soffit vents up to your ridge vent is coming in contact with the cold underside of your roof decking. (Cold because there is snow sitting on top of it) The moisture in the air is condensing out and making the underside damp/wet. I'll bet as the weather cools off in the next couple of days, your attic will dry out because the ventilation air will be cooler and dryer.
In my opinion, I don't think this is a big problem unless you are getting so much condensation that the ceilings are getting wet.
