We have a small log home with Anderson double pane windows. The bathroom has a vent which is run everytime someone showers, the dryer is vented to the outside, the roof has vents and the attic is well insulated and we still have condensation on the windows. It only occurs on the bottom half inch of glass just above the frame and I've been told that that is where the window loses it's insulation capability. Over the years(6)it is slowly deteriorating and discoloring the frame. The frames are wood like but not real wood. We have left them unpainted because we like the natural wood look throughout the house. We have also thought about storm windows, which I have been told Anderson windows don't really need, but I thought it would create a dead air space between the window and the cold outside air that might help. Any suggestions?
