soo much depends on how deep you cut the caulking tube nipple and at what angle. If the work is a small hair line crack, cut off just a tinny bit of that nipple.

The finger works great, but to add, dip your finger in some rubbing alcohol and it will not stick to the finger and run a nice smooth ramp.

The key is also not to stop your finger moving until you get to a natural break, like the corner. where you stop and begin in mid stream you will leave a mark.
